Overview
SOMIM
Ltd, a port-based company, was created in 1998 to cater for
the maintenance of gantry cranes and other port equipment.

ISO 9001 certified, SOMIM Ltd offers preventive and corrective
maintenance on a 24-hour basis. With a string team of qualified
and experienced specialists, the expertise of its local and
regional partners and a GMAO system, SOMIM Ltd is geared to
give nothing less than a first class service. |
Our clients include the Mauritius Ports Authority, the Cargo Handling
Corporation and the Mauritius Shipping Corporation amongst others.
Strategy
Our
main objective is the provision of effective maintenance facilities
for port equipment through a low down time and high equipment availability.
We aim to expand our activities in and beyond the maritime business,
whilst simultaneously satisfying our customers’ needs.

Alain
Imbert
Director |
Alain
started his professional career in the Hotel Industry and
joined the Rogers Group in 1976. In 1980 he was promoted
to Manager of the Rogers Group’s SEBNA Manufacturing
Plant and in 1995, Senior Manager of Scotts Logistics. He
joined Taylor Smith & Co as Managing Director in 2001and
was appointed as Director of Taylor Smith Group in 2004.
